Clear headlights

Honestly, is it worth all that money when for a fraction you could tint the hockey sticks?

Am I the only member to have done it this way???

Good man. From experience, you only need a very light coat. 1 was enough for me so they still flash orange and in bright light you can tell they have an orange hue. Once behind the headlight itself they are slightly darker due to reflections etc.

Hard to tell in these shoddy pics but;

Not that I know of, but make sure to use heat resistant glue!!!!!!

DO NOT USE A GLUE GUN.

I don't think £500 is that bad for a pair of clear lights if they are in nice condition. When you consider there is a pair of clear indicator lenses for sale on here for £250 and you still need to chop up your current lights. A similar price was being asked for a batch of aftermarket ones too so there is certainly a market.

£500 for clear lights, sell your old ones for £125 each it's 'only' cost you a net £250 to de-tango your car and no chopping required. Much of that can be recouped upon eventual resale of the car anyway so again, not as expensive as it looks.

I ran my 2004 sterling grey roadster with clear lights and the standard bumper and to my eyes it looked the perfect incarnation of the Z4, forget //M bumpers, facelift, aero kit etc - boggo PF bumper/clear lights is the bees knees. Just my 2p :P

T2FFN were your inners clear to start of with or black? What did you use to tint yours?

I have been thinking about using some laminX on mine, but yours look great.

Started off orange. I had a bodyshop spray them with lacquer with a small amount of black.
