Clear Headlights

I know there has been a 'How to' on clear headlights for Z4s, but that seems a lot to do, so just wondered if anyone new where you can buy these as a direct replacement?

Also, do the clear lights on the later models fit?

Cheers

Did this mod last year using help from Pawn Sacrifice , CJ10Jeeper and Mister Rodger

Lights bought from Soper BMW and fitted direct swap ...

only problem was the price ...

All depends on what you have already fitted, it turns out that pre to post facelift Halogens are a direct swap but Xenons require a whole load of rewiring and a recoding of the Light Control Module so it would appear to be prohibitively expensive, that said people have successfully split 2 pairs of lights to make one working set very long thread here but shows how it can be done.
The Halogens are approx £375 - £400 each new from a stealer or they do come up on Ebay from time to time, I got lucky with mine and picked up an immaculate set for less than £400 earlier in the year, but people have paid considerably less if you are preapred to buy them individually and wait while the other comes up, it can take some time though.
Fitting itself is easy enough me midway through changing mine over, you just to remove the front bumper cover how to here undo a few bolts and plugs and swap them over a couple of hours work at the most, including coffee breaks.
There is another if you want to go with aftermarket headlights, these have recently become freely available on Ebay.

Really appreciate the responses and links. They are halogens so will try pick some up from ebay. Is the same to be said for the side repeaters and tailgate lights? I presumed these didn't change post face lift?

side repeaters are a straight swap.

tailgate lights don't fit unless whole rear bumper is replaced ...

I'm trying to fit clear front lights but having a nightmare trying to find any second hand ones at all, nevermind for a good price!

I managed to find one passenger side clear halogen headlight (silver fascia) from a 2007 car in MINT condition which i would possibly be willing to sell for £250 if anyone is interested.

I know it sounds a bit expensive but i REALLY want clear lights on my own car, so i'd rather hold out for a matching unit myself than let it go for less.
