Clear corners

It's easy, but it'll cost you loads, £700 for non-xenons :o

Have these been swapped over?

Forum members car maybe?>

Yep they've been changed over, they were available from BMW in the accessories catalogue so could have been done early on, or swapped later. Quite nice but TBH for the dosh something like this would be more appealing, and live with the lights http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5034 well worth a punt at less than £14k.

If you get a car that's still in warranty with BMW, you can extend it, but not once it has expired. And well worth it for me.

Really supirised noone makes something to change this. On the TT forum this is quite a common mod and the clear corners cost about £50. A bit of an arse to fit, but still better than £450-£700. Extortionate

I reckon if there was an easy way to open the units (although one US member reports a company that can now bake them open) then it would be a no brainer to get an Far East supplier to make replica clear inners as the lights internals are just a big mechano kit that clips together.

I've done my own but it's no project for the faint hearted

Thats what you have to do with the TT ones. An open oven for 2-3 min 80c. Pull apart quite easily.

Sure and on some Bimmers it's easy - pre 10/04 X5's come to mind where I can open a pair in 5 minutes each, however later models and Zeds use an adhesive that does not melt in the same way. More of a silicone sealer than a mastic.

i got my clear halogens used for about $250 US on ebay. Not beautiful, i need to buff them out a bit but better than the originals that had a film growing on the inside of the lens.
