Cleaning the roof

So, I need to clean the car. In particular, the front edge and middle joint of the roof as they have a mildew build up - but how to get to these areas. My question - is it safe to stop the roof mid travel when the areas are exposed or will that cause an issue?
 
You're safe.

Treat it with respect though and assume at some point it will try to eat you. Know where the key is and make sure it can't accidentally be triggered.

Do it, but be wary.
 
Be careful with the boot lid, it will slowly fall. Just press the open key every few minutes to keep it up.
