Cleaning Piano Black dash?

So with Sunday service rapidly approaching I intend to give my car a good clean on Saturday. I have the piano back dash and wondered if I could use the polish for the outside of the car for this?

It’s got some very light scratch marks on and I know this is a common problem with piano back but I wonder if this polish will firstly work and not damage the dash and secondly will it remove the light scratches?

The polish in question is this stuff, left over from the previous owner;

I wouldn't personally. Tend to just use a cockpit shine of some form or another on mine, then keep a microfibre in the door card to give it a wipe down every now and again.

Are these a lacquered dash trim ? if so try the finger nail test if you can feel the scratches with your finger nail they will not budge if not a very light swirl remover may help but try a small area first
