Hi , I just thought I'd post my cleaning list and products to see if anyone would change or recommend any others.

1) alloys , muck off
2) wash car , poorboys shampoo
3) clay , do do juice clay
4) rinse/dry
5) meg quick detailer
6) poorboys black hole
7) dodo juice wax( was thinking of trying purple haze)

I have a black car
I have never tried any abrasive paint correction as I've not got a clue how it works !!

There are a million and one products out there, may of which are the exact same, just with different names and bottles, so stick to what you like.

With the above, you'll also get a million and one people saying different products they like... but at the end of the say, there is no best and certainly nothing wrong with the products you have.

If you want to try other though, I use AutoSmart products for most of my cleaning.

3M, Scholl or Megs for polishing.

And a whole range of different wax companies... but if you want one that punches well above it's price bracket, have a look at "bouncers" - very good waxes (IMO)

You can use it on most dark colours, some say any but you are better off with white diamond for very light colours

will white diamond be ok on sterling silver mate

I saw a video recently about a detailer saying that a product that says it's good for a particular colour is bollocks.

i.e. how can a product be good for dark colours. Black is different to navy blue, both dark....how can a product be good for both? if it had coloured fillers I can see how it would look good on that particular colour, but both black and blue?

I'd be interested to see what happens if somebody used black hole on a silver car....I'd imagine it will still work perfectly.

The missus has a silver fiesta, I might try a bit of the blackhole on it to see what happens.
