Cleaning exhaust tips

Guys,

So back in the summer I bought off Machine Monkey a lovely pair of shiny exhaust tips, fitted them to the car and they looked great. (Cheers again Matt)
However, they are now looking a bit sooty and could do with a clean up. Tried the usual, hot soapy water, but no success. Anyone know of any good cleaning products to use on them?

Cheers,

Autosol metal Polish :)

I find AutoFinesse Mercury has more chemical bite than Autosol so can be an easier time with a microfibre, ie no need for 00 grade wire wool.

I've got a set of MM exhaust tips fitted and I just give them a good rub with Autosol and they come up just like new :D

The rule is don't let them get that bad in the first place :poke:

So this is how they looked this morning...

Then I took a trip to Halfords and bought this....

Then after 20minutes cleaning them this afternoon, they ended up looking like this...

How the fcuk did they get like that? :o

my MM tips have not seen a wash since fitted, and just need a wipe to clean them .........

Haha, not looked at them since the day I fitted them! Also with wet roads round here, they've got a bit sprayed! Much better now though, and will be keeping on top of them

They do look a lot worse in the original picture than they really were. And that's not a sign of how the zed looks! It's nicely tucked away and I'm giving it a full going over tomorrow - early Christmas present for it :D

It's says a lot about he build quality when they clean up at good  someone should buy that MM guy a beer  as said above scotch bright will clean the inside nicely. But metal polish as used on them is probably the safest option.

They look great again

Mean to say you don't carry a tube of solvol in your pocket. :) once a week without fail easy peasy :) :)
