how do you guys clean the carpets in the car?

while im at it any suggestions on stuff for the rest of the interior. i tried autoglym and it didnt seem to shift anythig. wondering if good old fashioned soapy water (maybe weak flash solution) would do then some sort of conditioner.

i hoovered the car and fond that the carpets were pretty manky. compaired to uner the mats. i was thinking maybe a steam cleaner??

this si the pic i took

I would buy carpet cleaner from the super market shelve and good old hot water and elbow grease, i wouldnt use anything like flash as they have bleach in them and not a steam cleaner as you cant get into the nooks and crannies, i would remover both seats too for a thorough clean all round, your be surprised wot you find under your seats! :o

how easy is it to remove the seats? i was thinking the same myself but wouldnt mind avoiding that if i could. of its just a case of 4 bolts and a the a mutlplug for the leccy seat then maybe its an option.

only thought about the flash for the palstics after the overspray from the widow cleaner shifted more dirt in a wipe than the auto glym did when scrubbing ..... maybe cilit bang.... :o .... (only kidding). just want somethign better than the autoglym for a real deep clean

I either use a steam cleaner, went n dry vac or a tornador gun from Autosmart..I find the steam cleaner and gun the best, as they get into everything and steam is a great "natural" cleaner... I get the nozzle down the air vents, and into every bit of the interior (and engine).

A strong solution of all purpose cleaner (APC) helps too...
