Zeta, thanks for the links. I had been thinking of something like that... but just a plain old "BMW"
Wazzz, I went to 'AdvanceAuto and bought a can of Duplicolor 'Black' caliper paint for the rotors, and a Dupicolor "Red" caliper kit to do the calipers. The kit contains a spray can of cleaner (you need another can just to make sure...), a brush ( you need several more of these), and a can of paint..
You will also need a small soft wire brush and lots of rags.
The paint has some special stuff in it (some type of ceramic) to allow the paint to withstand 500'.
I took the brake pads out and reattached the floating caliper to allow for cleaning, then cleaned again, then cleaned again. Did I say clean the calipers?
Then got out my bushes and started to paint. The paint dries very quickly...
After about four hours I put the brake pads back in and about two hours after that, I was driving the car, but being easy on the brakes. I just wanted them somewhat hot, just to bake on the paint.
Did the rear brakes the next day...
