which polish and wax would you reccomend?i use autoglym polish at the mo.thanks for the tips too
I just use the Autoglym stuff too. All said and done the real results come from the work you put in, not the product (so much), from what I have read over the years.
I recently clayed and then just went straight on with wax, and am happy with the results. I used AG high definition wax which seems to last really well and is nice and glossy... pretty cheap too... it's good enough for a silver car anyway, where the real benefits come through the prep of the paint more than the wax.
The ideal process is wash, clay, polish (super resin), polish (again, because super resin has fillers which mask swirls), then wax, then wax, then wax again if you like
OK, others will use machines and put on all manner of goodies, but if you don't suffer from OCD the above process lasts ages and looks as good as you would want without people thinking you make love to your cars exhausts and run out every time a bird shites on it for fear of the paintwork getting damaged

Now if I had a black car, or something dark, maybe I'd care more, but silver will never look amazing, claying imho, like you have done, and a quick super resin polish and HD wax, gets the best bang per buck and effort, and probably gets you 95% of the way to it looking the best it will!
Cheers
