Very odd this. Since I fitted my AFE air filter I have noticed a pronounced clatter from the engine from about 3 – 4,500 RPM. I am pretty sure it’s not the filter vibrating & I know the engine is prone to a bit of this type of noise. I am wondering if the more open-air filter is acting as an amplifier, bit like an ear trumpet!
It only does this under load, clutch in & hit the same revs & no clatter?
Any thoughts guys & Girls?
