I have just had a look at Z4 Roadsters on Pistonheads Classifieds and am amased at how many are up for sale.
I was looking to see how much competition I have when selling mine. 20 pages before you even get to the standard adverts.


I hoped to get about 12K for my car but it is looking more like 10.5 to 11
maybe I should just trade it in against an M///

What is the age/mileage/specification of your car?

The one thing that has bumped this up is the trade adverts. Went on earlier and there are pages of AUC ads on there, I guess when times are good and they are shifting their stock the dealers don't seem to bother with PH. But yes, an abnormal number of adverts at the moment.

I don't think it is just Z4s that aren't moving so if you're trading up it could work in your favour.

A bunch of ads on there for Big Motor World who have a shockingly bad reputation, no relevance, just a warning.

If texasjohn's considering a deal I'd be interested if I were you!

Yep, I noticed that too. TBH I don't keep a close watch on the classifieds, but it seems PH classifieds have been ruined now. Used to be a great way to buy and sell cars but that's pretty rubbish now.

What is the age/mileage/specification of your car?

Mine is a 2004 with 50k on the clock now.
If I did trade in however, it would have to be next year as I need to purchase a house first!

You thinking about moving from an M to a 3.0..?
I have been looking at the M's on Pistonheads too, some nice examples from £18k upwards. I would be looking at the £18-19k area (I have to buy a Dog Charriot too for the wife)

October being in the future, I will do the MOT as soon as I get home. I work away so the car is only used for 3 months per year!
