with some regret due to unforeseen circumstances I need to sell one of my toys

it's a heavily modified 1980 mini HL.

There's absolutely no rot in the shell but there is a little surface bubbling in some odd places (not the usual mini trouble areas)

The engine is bored to 1293 with a fancy cam, gas flowed head and other bits and bobs making this a high revving flying machine

the wheels and tyres are brand new and have done less than 100 miles, 10x6 yokohamas on ultralites

the interior is from a late MPI but can be supplied with black mamba bucket seats instead if preferred

it still needs a couple of niggly jobs to finish (wipers don't park, speedo stopped working when I removed the dash). The radius arms need changing, I have new ones and hope to fit them this week

Mot til November and tax until the end of April

I paid £3800 and have spent about £1000 on it since then********. Now £3250

I know I wont get my money back but would like to get as close as poss so £3995 ono, viewing possible most times this week

trying here first as I know there are some mini folk on here. Will go elsewhere in a couple of days

cheers

Oooooooooo, that brings back memories of a 1275GT many years ago.

Looking for a VW beetle 1.6 sub 50,000 miles 2003-2006 for daughter who is 18 next month, I didn't think of a classic mini. Ooooooooooo

Nice motor. You will miss it! I sold my MkII Escort RS2000 many years ago and I can no longer afford one. I miss it.....

Good luck with the sale

Pressure mounts at my end so reduced to £3250

Speedo now fixed, one radius arm replaced

All mod cons! Seats, doors, engine, wheels,

May swap for sensible small car or 4x4. Preferably something with character. Needs must!

Oh for crying out loud.... I really am trying not to spunk the cash but I really like this.

I'll think long and hard about it.

Here is a little more to tempt you

RJS, fancy going 50/50? Commute to share a tad of an issue mind you.......

What engine on V5 for insurance - 18 yr old daughter would like a flying classic especially if the insurance is cheap

The v5 stats 998. Although I've got a copy that's been sent to them clearly stating 1293. They haven't changed the document they returned. Best of both worlds in my view. Dvla informed but v5 says 998

Cooper 7.5 discs. Not great by modern standards but good enough to lock the old wheels up if you wanted to. The new ones with new tyres are so sticky that I've not locked them up yet, mind you I've not deliberately tried to either.
