Thanks for sharing...
Love these events.
Can't quite decide whether my favourite is the blonde (?) Hippie Chick looking at the 308.

Or maybe this kid in the orange shirt, sitting on the Triumph

Gotta admit that kid deserves to have someone push a soft serve ice cream cone into his gob.
I hope he knows the bike owner.

i wonder if our cars will ever be in shows like this?

See no reason why not - the local classic car club accepts anything (and I mean *anything*) as long as it's 15 years old. Some zed's won't have to wait long... :)

Was his grandads bike. So was allowed to sit on it

when i first started driving cars like capris, cortinas, escorts, minis, allegros, marinas etc etc where everywhere, common as muck, now any good examples of these turn heads at any car show

Those badges on the 308 spoiler... its genuinely a spoiler now. :P
Agreed, wheels are wrong too, shame as the 308 looks good in black

I came close to buying a 328 a couple of years back. However, the reality of an 80's car is that it's like sitting in the 1980s. :|

My 2003 Z is getting close :D ,
Our cars will be sort after in years to come, it happens to most and if they have a sporty flavour, that really helps them in the desirable stakes. A lot of classic meet like cars to be 20 years and older, my Toyota MR2 qualifies now and they are getting quite scarce on the roads.

Agree about the 308. Didn't need the spoiler. Although the interior was in good condition it was like walking into to an 80s wine bar (tacky). The best car all round was the Alfa. Beautiful outside without any silly add on's and an immaculate original interior

Yep lol. Always liked the styling. Just seen the new Guilia a proper monster with approx 500bhp

Marinas :o surely not, the only car my dad ever bought new was a marina and it was the worst car he ever owned. The build quality was diabolical. I would hope they are all dead by now (cue the link to a concourse marina . . . )

my dad had an avenger, thats what i learned to drive in - well actually i learned in a morris 1800 but the avenger was the first car i ever drove on the road

My uncle had a ford Granada 3.0 ghia With velour seats we felt like royalty when we're in it

My Dad bought a Mk1 Escort 1.3L from new in '74. I eventually inherited it. Sold it for £300 in mid 90's to buy an XR2. :headbang:

(In my defence your honour, it did have many many problems, not least of which was rust and the inability to actually start the engine)
