Clarksons replacement

Am I the only one that sort of wishes Mr Harris remains with his current format?

I can see the appeal of him filling the role owing to his knowledge and skill, but there's something about his videos that will be lost if he were to go on to mainstream TV.

Well said - completely agree. Top Gear takes care of "mass appeal" so that he doesn't have to.

I vote for the girl on Sars puncture thread - she looks like she's no stranger to a bit of sideways action

Evans specifically said on his radio show this morning that he would never do it.

Guy Martin gets my vote, the guys an absolute legend and would bring in a whole new crowd to the program. Would just have to be careful not to sell out as his character is perfect as it is.

Perfect,

It's going to be pretty difficult sticking to the trio of personality types of the show continues down that route.

But love him or hate him, JC is actually pretty difficult to replace, having problems identifying an outspoken opinionated and part time bully with fascist tendencies but mostly humorous presenter! I mean that objectively!

They should do-over the format, it needs a reboot anyway :driving:

It's never going to be the same ,which I suppose could be a good thing ,but I used to enjoy wall to wall supercars ferraris and lambos ,and the quality of filming was very high ,may be because it had to satisfy a world wide audience which would not accept hastily cobbled together Heath robinson crap, I see bog std metal boxes every day I don't want to see more of them on the telly I want escapism, :fuelfire: I think any celeb who takes over does so at his peril :tumbleweed:

I reckon Clarkson pushed the self destruct button, he'd had enough. I'd be surprised if Top Gear survives. Like others have said, whoever replaces him the dynamic won't work - they would have to replace them all. It's more a comedy show than a motoring show and comedy when it works is a strange thing to understand and impossible to recreate.

I'd like to see it go back to a proper motoring show.
I'm really not bothered about seeing three bellends make a hovercraft out of a transit!

Still want someone occasionally ragging a supercar round a track though :D

They lads were anti PC hero's matey a last gasp ,the last line of defence in the face of Guardian reading left wing liberal elitist tossers who hate anyone who does not comply to their way of thinking ,why the effing hell did Clarko hit that bloke ,what a prat, Top Gear was the only programme on telly I ever made a determined point of watching , the only time I had control over the remote ,it's a sad day troops , I feel very emotional :tumbleweed:

Chris Evans is as much of an idiot as Clarkson but without the outrageous humour or journalistic flair. I wouldn't watch Top Gear were he involved!
Chris Harris is excellent as he is - if his style could be incorporated into a new version of Top Gear then it would get my vote.
Sadly Suzy Perry doesn't look quite like that anymore

I'd be happy to take up the mantle but I doubt the audience figures would be very high...

Unfortunately as some said TG was Clarkson, May and Hammond combined.

It can for all i know change name as they will have to start from scratch.

Giving challenges to new presenters/comedians will be stale so they have to invent a new format.

What about Jimmy kimmel? Just a thought. He seems to know a fairly decent amount about cars judging by his channel on Youtube. Not to mention his crazy car collection.. and iirc when he was on the show he said he would love to come back. Maybe not under these circumstances but regardless. Could be a great idea having an American thrown in to switch things up. :poke:
They can fill the space but nobody is really ever going to truly replace Jeremy...
