CIC HDD Replacement

Hello,

I tried to update my navigation with updated maps via DVDs. It appears at some point when it finished copying after a couple of errors that the unit reset itself randomly.

I was left with no maps on my unit however the music partition is working fine. I thought it would be a good time to replace the HDD. I have sourced a few original toshiba HDD same as the one that was originally installed and they are brand new.

When I used Macrium reflect to create a backup in Windows 11 I think I was left with a drive that looks like this:

I tried creating a bite for bite copy via DD and it creates the same thing. The new drive will refuse to be read in the car and the music partition wont work at all, no CDs will play etc.

Putting back the original drive everything is fine - except the maps. Plugging it into the QNX VM says that the drive does not have a qnx4 filesystem.

What could be the issue and how can I rescue this drive or create a new drive that isn't corrupt and save my lifetime FSC code that I need for maps.

If you use the search function there’s a thread by b21 about replacing the hdd with a solid state drive and how he copied the files over.

You need a whole image copy I used Hard Disk Manager 17..the copy had to be perfect its very fussy
