Chrysler Crossfire

I had an impromptu duel with a Chrysler Crossfire.
I was joining a slip road and the CC was behind me, he pulled out to overtake. We both put our feet down.
He shot passed me even though I floored mine in second in sport mode.
I didn't think they were that quick. When i checked Parker's guide i noticed there are two models:
a 215 bhp 0-60 in 6.3 and a 330 bhp 0-60 in 5.1
It must have been the latter in my case!
Tail between legs ...

Appalling excuse for a vehicle.

Let's just hope nobody else noticed the pasting he gave you!

The 330 HP model (Crossfire SRT-6) is very rare as less than 300 RHD models were ever made.

they are very rare I agree god awful looking thing but the standard version is very quick the v6 is quite torquey (it is only a r171 Mercedes slk with a different dress on )

My last car was a Crossfire, I'd wanted one from them first coming out. I quite like the style and they are surprisingly quick for an auto but they are more of a cruiser than a sports car, they are also very comfortable.

I admit they are a bit of a marmite car.

The Crossfire looks like it was designed by an American committee trying to create something that European people would like.

It's a Mk1 SLK underneath I recall, dates from the marriage made in hell between MB and Chrysler that also resulted in some of the worst Mercs for years too.. :-(

Ugly as Sid James. Handles like a pig on an ice ring. But quick enough In a staight line. Espescialy as he got the jump on you.

 Time for an ///M

They need to be quick for people not to be offended by the look. My business partner has one and he loves it. Convertible though and it does look better than the coupe.

5.1 is quick for an auto but a lot more skill in driving an ///M.

Update!

The offending car is in my office car park.
It's defo an SRT - the reg is something like S70 SRT
330 bhp vs 255 bhp. I didn't stand a chance :-)

According to howmanyleft, there are only 76 registered in the UK. A rare beast

If only i had a 35is...
