Chromed Caliper Clips

20ducks

Elite
They will be at the platers on Monday 5/12/08. I will have a limited number of sets for sale, there will be sets available for calipers that have clips with # 66 and # 206. I will have only 2 sets of M clips that have # 161 and # 317. There will be no others offered at this time.

Official pricing and availability will be announced shortly (actually as soon as the plater gets off his arse and give me a quote).

Cheers,
Greg

Hey 20 ducks - my name was down on the list - hope it still is

Perhaps the initial list should be used as the priority order, rather than continually reafirming interest??

Your name is down for sure. The amount of time that has passed made it seem to me that more than a refresh was needed. With 15 or so sets of the regular clips I think I'll have enough for all that were considering them. My main concern was with only have 2 sets of M, that the ones that are truely interested come back on with full intent.

I'll tally the regular ones next week sometime. One of the M sets is allocated to Mark (2Zero) for sure.

I waited for the weekend so those that have limited or no access to the internet at work are not hindered because of it.

Cool

And I apprecitate you doing this. I know how much time and effort it takes. Took some remote roof modules to the US recently and it all takes time :)

Just got an email from the plater. Parts will be shipped to me on 5/23. I should have them in my hands on 5/27!! Hurray!!!

Just put a how-to request in that thread but I'd like some instructions on removing the old clips and putting on the new chrome ones. 20ducks...I'm lookin' at you!!! ...since you'll be getting them from the plater frist :D

Any pics of them on cars yet? If they look nice on the M's and they're not too tricky to fit, i'll be interested...

Getting the wheels off will be your problem, not fitting the clips :)

:P I'm assuming that's a reference to my apparently never-ending switch to CSL's..? :P

Actually, i've just missed placing my order for them today (place shut at 5), so i'll be doing so tomorrow morning! I've gone for the usual 19"x8.5 fronts and 19"x9.5 rears in the more common shiny silver (think it looks better against the bright red paintwork) shod with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric's: 235/35 at the front and 265/30 at the back, just as they are on the M3 CSL. I was torn between them and the common-choice Michellin PS2's - on 1 hand, the Goodyear's seem to top every group test, but on the other, the PS2's are tried-and-tested on the Z4MC. The cheaper asking price of the Goodyear's, especially given the probable better performance, swung it for me.

Can't wait :D Although I'm gonna have to because the place hasn't got the rear tyres in stock at the moment :x
