Chrome steering wheel covers

Hi

I want to renew the chrome steering wheel covers on my Z and have seen these:

BMW part 32346785702

Is it just a case of clip on/off or is it more complex re: airbag etc....?

The covers are held on with torque screws. Two on the bottom piece and one each of the others.
I'm pretty sure you can get them off without taking the wheel off and also with the airbag in place.
Out of interest why are you replacing them?

Ok that sounds good, I don't want to have to mess with the airbag setup. I guess that having just bought it, I want to tidy up the parts that have tired, and the covers are a bit scuffed.....

You need to remove the airbag really otherwise you risk breaking something.

Airbag is easy to remove though.

If you are just changing like for like I suggest you put a seperate post up in the buy and sell section asking for a steering wheel as plenty of people on here have upgraded and will have the original which I'm sure they will sell to you for alot less money.

x2 on this, especially the bottom piece as it is well wedged in. Unless the skinny-ness of the standard wheel makes it easier...
