After a few weeks of taking the M apart, getting bit's ready to send off, sending them off, ordering new parts and now getting it all back, i have a nice collection of shiny bit's to put back on the M.

Although the wheels weren't very old and hadn't covered many miles, the quaility of the finish was really poor and had started to peel off. So I sent them to lepsons.com to be refurbished in bright sparkle silver.
Because the wheels are so open and the brakes are a lot more visible, i decided that i wanted to change the caliper colour to red, thought I might as well get the calipers refurbished at the same time. I sent them off to biggred.co.uk for a refurbishment and to be finished in premium red. I'm really happy with the work they have done.
The front discs had a bit of life left in them but as i had it all apart i thought i might as well put new discs on to save doing the job twice. New discs meant new pads (which are inside the calipers). The discs and calipers are genuine BMW which i purchased from Harry Fairbairn BMW who have always been great for genuine parts.
All Z4M's i've looked at have a corroded emission control air pump bracket but that seems to be the only thing that corrodes under the bonnet. I had mine shot blasted and wet sprayed silver, i will wait and see how that holds up.
Now to find some brake fluid, get the tyres put back on the wheels and then put it all back together
