Christmas Dinner & Meet. Anyone interested?

I am interested and am free that weekend. Just depends for me on where it takes place and how much etc.

I am in Surrey.
 
OK, back from Lisbon now....

I'd like to take a provisional head count to see if the numbers stack up.

Is there any more interest? Cars,roads, beer, friends, turkey - has there ever been a more tempting offer?

Last chance to register provisional interest is Friday night 3rd October. After that we'll make a decision about how to proceed.

Ok- so were up to 10, subject to confirming date and location.... Is this enough to make this a viable trip?

Past experience would suggest that 25%-30% would drop out at the last minute - that would leave 7 of us (possibly plus partners).

I'm still very keen to go ahead, so here's the deal.

Date:- Saturday 13th December
Area:- assume Wales as per my earlier post - exact route to be decided upon
Venue for Meal:- I will try to provisionally book for 12. Availability of restauarant and accommodation to determine final route.

I will try to cap costs at a max of £30 per head for the meal exc drinks, £50 per head accomodation for those that need it and use the budget and availability to select venue.

Please post your confirmations for 1) Drive, 2)Meals and 3)Accommodation and agreement to these cost limits into this thread and I'll ring around.

Anything more happening on this? Wales is a too far North and West for me, but still up for a meet if the options are right... :driving:
 
Would be up for this, but, the date clashes with my works xmas do in London. I hope this goes ahead, sounds like fun.
 
I thought it had died a death as at the time I was collating names there were very few responding, difference of opinion over the location and so on.

Sorry guys - been away on vacation in Antigua. :heat:

I was very keen on the idea but the numbers committing really didn't make sense. At the last count I think we had 4 who expressed a clear interest.

I am still really keen for us UK folks to get together for a meet. Perhaps we could still get together for a less formal drive between Christmas and New Year and then again in the Spring sunshine for some top down driving. (Coupe drivers should bring their own can opener :poke: )

So, I will close this thread and hope that someone better organised and perhaps more centrally located will take up the mantle and start a new thread for a meet soon.
