Chistmas Hoon to France anyone? 8th December

It's a lot of miles for you Liam....200 maybe down to Folkestone.....175 approx to Paris....great trip, and the weather is sunny for the whole day. Lille is only about 60 ish miles from Calais, which will break up your journey too....

Yep, quite a distance but I enjoy driving. This missus sleeps and I get the radio to myself. The tunnel and Lille will break it up and I'm considering popping into Belgium just to say I've been.

Lille is a great Christmas town, and a great market there too....the rest on the tunnel is good, for a quick half hour, but as you know, I did a 1000 mile trip in 14 hours and loved the drive.....

I envy you going to Paris, if your Mrs wants to go shopping, park up by Opera and visit Gallerie Lafayette and Printemps.....great department stores, and Printemps has a lovely restaurant in the top of it.....

We had a close look at the prices and found them good but decided against joining you because of the short daylight hours. It is a lot of night driving. We looked into an extra day in Brugge too. I will keep my eyes peeled for a spring or summer trip because I know I would love to join a cavalcade of Zeds across N France.

Have a great time.

Just noticed the space number which may have had something to do with our reservation being messed up but it ended up cheaper and were on the 17th floor overlooking Paris so all good

France is fine although I think it has an aversion to Germany!!!! Glad to say since that event, it's been superbly well behaved

Lille was beautiful yesterday, weather was amazing...never seen so many people in one place.....

Hats off to Liam. First time driving on the wrong side, and took to it easily
