Chipping a 20i

Good morning folks - I’m looking to purchase a 20i in the next couple of weeks. I went to my local independent (BMW trained) garage the other day and asked about this issue, they told me they could only get another 20 odd BHP. My understanding is that the 20i pushes out about 180BHP but that it has the same engine as the 28i, which pushes out about 260 - so something doesn’t sound right, maybe he’s got his fact wrong, or I’ve got my expectations set too high. I’m looking for a recommended garage in the MK area to assist with this, any ideas people?

If you Google "n20 remap" you'll get alot of options mate. Most places will give you a remap figure between 260-280bhp easily. Its strange your BMW trained garage wouldn't know this but are offering you an power upgrade. I'd stay away personally. Evolve are really well known for BMW. I'm going to AMD in Essex for my 20i.

Hi, the 28i makes around 245bhp but evolve can get the 20i to a bit more than that
