Hi all

Does anyone have any experience / results of chipping the 3.0 litre engine?

Cheers.

Not directly but I've read that the increases are only small so most people think it's not worth the money.
Regards

No experience, but this has been discussed on the forum many times. From my understanding for the costs involved, the choices are limited and the benefits very small

I've chipped several cars with various results, the best gains were with turbo diesels and the worst with normally aspirated petrol engines. I wouldn't do it to the 3.0 it's too good an engine in standard form, and as others have pointed out the gains aren't really worth it.

If you want more power RayM buy an ///M to start with (if you don't have a Zed?) saves all the effort (not necessarily the expense though)

Would love an "M" but a little outside my current price range unfortunately.

See I've been spoilt in the past!! I had a 2 litre westy as my last toy and that was about 300 BHP/Ton and before that a 993 air cooled 911 with 285 BHP. I know its difficult to use the performance theses days but its always nice to have it there if you need it LOL.
