Mrs mad 4 surprised me today with a voucher for my birthday for a flight in a chipmunk light trainer, at classic airforce at st mawgan newquay, anyone been up in one of these.

You mention the cockpit being a bit Spitfire like and being a tandem layout, it certainly will be different to the Thruster. Do post up how it went and what you thought of it. It's a low wing monoplane trainer so I'm quite jealous! Lots of history to this model. Would love to see some photos too. . . .![]()

But I never ever thought I'd get to learn to fly. Followed a microlight when out with a mate on our motorbikes and ended up at Carlisle Airport where we met the instructor. . . .
