Cherokee Jeep

I have just bought myself a 1994 Cherokee Jeep, the boxy one, as a bit on a winter run around, and also to carry the dog about in. It is a 4.0L petrol and bound to be very thirsty and has 133,000 miles on the clock.

Am i mad or are these old beasts ok? The body is in good conditions and its starts and rides well. I wanted one of the earlier jeeps as they have less electronics, and in theory, less to go wrong. I hope this theory works anyway.....

Anyone had much experience of them?

They are a really sound piece of kit. I runs a couple of Jeeps and was chair of the J33P Jeepclub for 5 years os guess I 'm a bit biased.

In reality you get a lot of car for your money and a mopre off orad focussed Jeep than the current trent to soft roaders.

Go to j33P.org if you need any advice

I had a feeling i might get a reply from you! Thats just the kind of info i wanted, as i hadn't been able to find many Jeep forums on my searches, so i will check this one out.

Thanks alot. I'll put pictures up once i've got it!

have always wanted one of those! Almost got one a few years ago but went audi boring instead. Have always thought it was the best jeep.

Wow - just seen the typo mess I left on my initial post. Must have had an auto spell check and not reviewed the garbage it/I left.

Look forward to some pics.

This is the new tank. It may not look like much at the moment, but once it has had my magic valet done to it, it should look as good as new (ish). I will also add that i didn't pay what is written in the window either!

The older ones like that are all over the place--hard to kill them and they like playing in the dirt.
