The people who make these threats are no better than Evans himself.
As someone said, twitter in the 21st century has become the 18th century mob.

I completely agree with this...Dav the wheel nut said:So Oldham have pulled out of signing him due to death threats to their staff and families.

Probably someone who has seen a loved one's life ruined by a rapist.exdos said:What kind of people make such threats when their argument is against a convicted rapist getting employment?![]()
There's absolutely no doubt at all that Evans would not have even been charged with rape never mind convicted 20 years ago.original guvnor said:https://hat4uk.wordpress.com/2015/01/07/ched-evans-not-the-account-youre-being-given-by-the-mainstream-media/
In truth, we can't say if what he did amounts to rape or not, the simple facts are that he has been found guilty by a jury that heard all of the evidence that was legally admissible - not a carefully selected or slanted version that is available through various websites (both for and against his conviction).pvr said:From what I read I have no idea why he was convicted in the first place, was his defence team asleep?
The Criminal Cases Review Commission can't overturn verdicts all they can do is refer cases to the appeal courts and only about 4% of considered applications result in a referraloriginal guvnor said:I doubt he'll get a fair hearing at the CCRC - too many important people already in print condemning him for it to be over-turned now.

The whole thing is a very sorry saga for all concerned with three very tawdry characters at the centre of it all.
I doubt he'll get a fair hearing at the CCRC - too many important people already in print condemning him for it to be over-turned now. Imagine how silly Miliband, Ennis and all those others would look. It's never going to happen. I mean it's not like the Establishment ever resort to a cover up when it comes to matters of sex crime is it?
