Check your scanner batteries!

Hi all, after coming to use my scanner today for the fookin emission light, I found out that it would not switch on, I looked at the battery compartment to find it all rusted!-my scanner has been used less than half a dozen times and is stored in the house(not a damp garage/boot)

I don't keep batteries in anything that is not in regular use - for precisely this reason.

You don't need batteries in that D900 scanner Andy. Just operate it with the ignition on. Never used batteries in my scanner. I've got a rust free compartment.
