This looks awfully cheap? 6 owners already and lots of adviseries on previous MOTs, surely not a forum car!!

If it has advisories surely you'd expect low prices.

Only advisory mine has ever had was from the shitty 296 wheel cracks.

Perhaps, think i was just surprised to see the new shape at such a low price.Screenshot_20170704-195546.png

Surely advisories on an MOT isnt necessarily a bad thing as long as they have been fixed?
Problems that are not really noticed from day to day can be found at MOT time and will obviously be marked down as an advisory.
Even an MOT failure shouldnt really be an issue if it gets fixed afterwards.
The first advisory is not really an issue as it doesnt affect the car at all, the reg plate.
As are the ones about the undertrays being fitted.
Front brake pads unless showing up on the service indicator or grinding metal isnt a problem as long as they were changed later on.
The tyres are about the only ones that could show that the owner didnt keep on top of things that wear out.

Has to be a scam surely?

If it isn't, that's a very cheap car!

An 8 year old car with 5+ owners, something not right. It would certainly draw you in though if you were a novice and looking for a fun car for the summer with some cash to splash.

I'll second that. When I was looking for a car I found a similar E89 on eBay at a very low price. I checked it out and the car did exist and wasn't stolen. The supposed owner claimed to be working in Ireland and promised to have the car delivered to my home. She suggested payment by PayPal and even e-mailed a passport photo and very convincing PayPal papers. She said any payment would be guaranteed by eBay's protection policy and also by PayPal. I checked with both and eBay don't provide cash guarantees on classified ads. There was no PayPal guarantee either. So I offered to travel to wherever it was to collect it. Needless to say after a number of e-mail messages it all went quiet and eBay suspended the account.
We think they had viewed the car, maybe, in a garage and took it out for a drive. The photographs were taken in open countryside. So all in all the car seemed genuine to begin with. As with this one you could check MOTs etc. but you can't trace the current owner unless you write to the DVLA with a valid reason. All this takes a considerable amount of time to do. It became increasingly clear it was a scam. It is true what they say that if something is too good to be true then it probably isn't.

Would agree scam.

On the advisories though I would treat very much with a large pinch of salt.

I had advisories on my front disks. BMW serviced the car only a couple of hundred miles earlier and never even mentioned it. I know they they checked them as they point out the weeping on the diff as part of their vehicle check.

On other cars also had advisories for exhausts come and go year after year. Other on here similar for brake pipes.

You never know it might be a real bargain. Think what you could be missing. But my cash is staying firmly in the bank.

Its a scam obviously, either that or there's something seriously wrong with the car or they really are morons! Why would you go to the trouble of selling a car yourself privately, pay for an ad and sell it for far less than the likes of WBAC would offer with cash in your bank the same day?

Probably a hacked autotrader account, fake email scam to get you to log in on a fake site and bingo!

Usual B/S, I often think they miss a trick when they go so cheap, a grand or two below market value would surely net a few potentials without it being so obviously dodgy.
