Cheap Trolley Jack

"I find it buckles under load as the wheels allow the jack to move."

It should move as you jack the car up as the lifting arm swings thro an arc - in effect the lifting point move horizontally. That why removing the front wheels is not a paricularly good idea either !

+1 for the Warning : Trolley jacks must be used on a smooth level surface to allow the wheels to move, no wheels induces angles and loads it's not designed to safely handle, it's quite likely to either collapse or tip and shoot the jack out at an angle

The halfrauds one is s**t

The lifting arm is weak, it wobbles around as you are lifting and tends to twist

Its the 3t 4x4 black one

Yes thats whats happen to cheaper red one, the lift arm buckles sideways and the pivot pin gets trapped above the base frame stopping it from descending. It's just too flimsey.

I've just ordered this one having been recommended on the other forum thread (note that the come-on £28 price is actually £40 once you add VAT and next-day shipping - still good though) the 360 handle function looks useful. I'll update on how it performs once it arrives.

This arrived yesterday, lovely low entry height, well made and great rotating handle ensures you can use it even in a tight space without angling the jack round from the ideal 90 degree entry on the side jacking points. It also has a removable jacking pad so it can be used with a lifting beam. Very pleased for £40 with next day delivery
