May amuse a few but i plan to keep the current car longer than some of my previous ones so i was looking to put a private number on it .
Have decided to switch over my own plate from another vehicle but in my search came across a few that may be of interest to other owners looking to personalise their car without spending silly money

B053 ZMR - £250 on the car
BO53 ZMC- £250 on the car
SR54 ZMR - £250 on the car
MS54 ZMR - £499 on the car
MS54 ZMC - £499 on the car all from DVLA own website

As they are later year plates - didn't think you were allowed to put them on older cars....i.e. our ZMs are older :tumbleweed:

You can make your car appear older but not newer so those ive shown would be allowed onto any vehicle from 53 or 54 onwards

Also seen MS54 UFO for £499.

And the one I've just bought (as it's got my initials) - TC06 ZMC - for £250

Eh??

Z4Ms are 2006, 2007, 2008

The plates listed are all 2003 and 2004, so whats the problem?

still love my K66UPE on my M coupe , only £320 odd quid inc all charges. got rid of the 7digit 08 plate . only trouble no one else "gets it "

I'd stick to a 5 digit private plate if it was me. Looks a lot more distinctive and in keeping with the car.

True Taz  Have M6VED and M9VED on my removal vans , look good together , thought I could sell as a pair to another mover or estate agent when I give up.

Got tempted by this and bought ARO8 ZMR, my wife being Aley, me being R0B and ZMR being the car. Thinking I might space it A R08 ZMR but probably not due to it being illegal and slightly chav IMPO

To close the circle, here's my new reg fitted...

Yes, I know it's dirty and covered in stone chips/dead flies

For £250 on the car that's a bargain & adds a nice touch

And despite the online system not working for me (website said the reg I bought could not be transferred to my vehicle) - the helpful DVLA guy said it all looked fine from their end and just to send the form in instead.

Sent it in last Saturday (tracked & signed for) and it was returned today - almost as quick (but much safer) than when I used to go to the Salford DVLA office.
