Cheap main dealer Z4MR

Cooper ipswich had a 30k mile, 07 plate car with nav up for £13995 and were willing to drop another £500 for no trade in, called them today to try and do a deal and it had sold this morning... Bummer!

Thought that was good value....?

For that mileage, yeah it was a good deal. Assume that a warranty was present with the AUC sale?

A very good deal indeed if it had a history to match - bad luck :(

Yes fully prepared, 1 year warranty, running in service, good tyres, fully serviced etc, dealer had it up for £15995 and it was going nowhere, was over the stock limit in terms of days, so they cut £2000 off the price to get it shifted. Clearly wanted out of it before winter bit properly etc

As you say, shame i missed it, but it does give me a useful benchmark as to what i should be paying for either a dealer or private car.... The search goes on!

Dont worry too much, yes it could of been a bargain but I have seen this before on here. Until you see it with your own eyes you just never really know the condition, with with an AUC. Even SH not quite been as "full" as your would expect for FSH.

Good luck, I paid a fair old price for mine. But Ive not seen one for sale I like as much since.

The silver grey one on here was a good price too, hence its just sold. Keep your eyes open

Exactly, which is why my first ///M was returned after 2 days as it was under serviced although dealer assured me when buying everything was 100%. :thumbsdown:

AUC = Guidelines only

When you say underserviced - what was missing?

Run in service was missing IIRC

No, I wouldn't have missed that.

I never actually saw the service book other from the other side of the table, but the dealer said that all their ///M cars need BMW service history and I confirmed everything regarding servicing was 100%, which they confirmed.

However when looking for the Bluetooth code the following day I checked the service book to check it wasn't in their and discovered that it had been 2 years and 8 months between it's last service. Mileage wise OK, but this would cause a problem with warranty and selling on.

So they took it back. They offered to underwrite the warranty for 2 years and carry out the next inspection service FOC, and of course offered to buy the car back at a later date (which is worthless), but I still returned the car.
