Cheap //M if anyone is looking to buy

I think it's worth a look - how many times have we said on here it's too cheap- then a trader buys it- tidies it up and we bemoan the price hike.

That is why I was thinking of buying it as a winter project. Give me time to sort the problems out and do some detailing, then drive it during the spring and perhaps move it on in the summer.

Yep spotted a few days ago... i reckon a great price for some M action with good low miles for the year .. only a few jobs .. but all in could owe 12k with the work done

I would be tempted myself

Go on - you've only got 2 Zeds, 3 wouldn't be at all greedy! :D

Or realise how good it is and sell the E89

To be honest I think you'd need to keep the spend to about 1.5k to make a profit on it - as it has mixed tyres on it it needs those changing to match IMHO .

I don't see it as a cash cow , its a good place to get into ZM world at ground level , spend a few £ & leave with wallet unscathed .
Its easy to forget the tax, insurance & minor running costs which in M world can soon burst the bubble

Exactly  I went through a similar debate with my own whether to speculate on future price over the next two years but came to the view that a. The car needed to be used and b. The base running costs of MOT, service and tax would have decayed any real profit .

Thinking about it this is probably a good car to put some miles on - don't fix it up drive it across Europe and back and a trip to Scotland sell it the end of next season for basically the same money .

I used to own an ///M before I bought the E89 Zermattv. I would love to be able to keep it, but not got the room to garage the ///M, my E89 and the wifes new Audi A3.

I think a budget of 1.5k is more than enough to allow me to put it right :D

I agree, it is VERY tempting, I can feel my wallet getting lighter thinking about it
