Cheap insurance

Is it just me or have insurance premiums massively dropped over the last year? Ive never had insurance off confused.com and now prices look half the price i last paid. The weird'est thing is an m4c costs only 61p more than a 3.0 si. And m3's have come down to about £450 from £1k.
 
I just renewed the insurance on my 2.5i. Last year I paid 2250 with M&S. I used gocompare and saved myself £100 per month with elephant and I even got the missus on the policy too. Not sure why it's such a big drop but I'm not complaining!
