Cheap insurance shock

Picking up my first Z4 this Saturday so I've had to up grade my insurance :
I'am with LV and they have always been good ,but this time i was amazed with the deal ,I'am going from a 97 1.9 Z3 to a 06 3.0si Z4 I've got 6 months left on my policy
The cost to up grade £17.50 result:grin:

Just bought a 3.0 and the cost is less than the renewal for my old car!
Maybe it's because i'm past the 40 mark!

I am with LV and after I took out the policy I found in the small print that I had to have tracker fitted and working or I would not be covered for theft or damage. I phoned them and argued it but they would not budge. Luckily I was in a position to do it which obviously costs me more.
I strongly suggest you check because it was a requirement for all z4s last year and some other BMWs but not z3s.

You've just asked the question I was going to. The missus is with LV and when I got their quote, I was amazed - a shade of £200! :) However, the tracker was mandatory; end of discussion. :cry: Unfortunately when I crunched the numbers, it was cheaper to insure elsewhere.
 
I had a 1.8 04 c-class (I know...), bought a new z4 2.0 m-sport, £150 cheaper per year. May be something to do with women's policies being illegal now, ie, they've met somewhere in the middle?
