Thanks for your help Love this forum. Do you know how the 2 bare cables connect?
I connected them to the two wires on the 3-pin CD changer plug - one is +12v, one is ground and one is IBUS (the white one).

Why it's not wired up like that in the first place I don't know.

The +12v is a permanent live, the seller says the bluetooth unit turns off after 15 mins. Not sure if the DSP one does the same.

Do I need the other Bluetooth interface as well?
You need both units if you have the DSP system.

The Bluemusic Amazon one is by far the most integrated option, I just wish my iPhone connected to it automatically (at the moment it picks up the factory BT but I have to manually connect to the dongle)
Delete the factory BT from your phone's connection list? Won't that then allow it to reconnect automatically?

I can't speak for ApplePhones, but my Samsung connects automatically to both the factory BT for calls, and BlueMusic for... music

Ok, so I’ve bought one of these amazon blue music things. I found 2 wires behind the boot wall and plugged them into the dongle. My phone and iPad recognise the dongle on bluetooth but I can’t get any sound out of the hifi unit. 2007 coupe with business cd. Am I missing something somewhere?

Which input do you have selected? It replaces the CD changer, so I select CD as the input.

I’ve selected cd and tried all the cdc positions 1-6.
The car has never had a cd changer fitted not s :poke: ire if that’s the problem? Does it need coding in?

If you can select CD then no. Volume on phone or ipad and is it selected as the BT source to use on the ipad?

Sorted! Found an auxiliary socket in the glove box that didn’t work. Took the radio out (pita getting the ai vents out) unplugged the aux lead and pluggered the cd changer lead back in and now I can lay music through the blue tooth dongle.

Excellent

Has anyone else had this issue? There has been an aux port installed into the bottom right corer behind the head unit, but I can't seem to find any other connector that could be swapped out for it?
