This event is to be held at North Tawton Rugby Club on the 27th July 2013 EX20 2ED.
The cause is to help raise money for the Mardon Neuro Rehabilitation Centre in Exeter http://www.rdehospital.nhs.uk/patients/centres/mardon/default.html ... where our good friend Victoria (also a pistonhead member)has been receiving treatment since January after being diagnosed with MS.

The day will start with a car show at 1pm, (cars to arrive from 12noon)
We will be asking for a suggested donation to the cause of £5 per car.
There will be a bbq, bar, teas, coffees and cakes available.
We will also be holding a draw with some fantastic prizes, (details to follow)
In the evening we are having live music, food and an auction, with items ranging from signed rugby shirts, Exeter chiefs full hospitality tickets through to a weeks holiday in Spain and another in Bulgaria.
For those that are interested in coming along for the whole day, camping in the field where the cars are showing, will be available.
We need your support and money to make this day a great success, so please add your name to the list below!!!

Above ported from original on PH. A friend of mine is organising this. They can fit 300 cars. What better excuse to get the SW Z4 crew together and raise a few bob for a good cause, at the same time. Maybe even a small convoy to the event. Come on guys and girls it's nearly summer.

Hope to See U There.

I won't be able to attend but would like to contribute to raising money. Please let me know the best way. I hope Victoria's rehab is going well.

I'm not sure if I'm able to attend, but if not will certainly make a donation. It's a good cause and I have a couple of good friends who have MS

Open question: is there something about this thread that's made people not want to comment?

As a forum we raised a four figure sum for Brad's marmite project yet hardly any interest in this thread at all for a day out to raise money for a fellow petrol head suffering a nasty illness :?

I'm wondering what that says...

Charity donations are a personal thing to a lot of people. I've had experience with this when raising money for charity before.

Have replied to your PM. I will post details, once I have them.

Maybe people are seeing it as a meet + donate, rather than just an opportunity to donate. This is the same weekend as Silverstone Classic, so many are out all day Saturday already. Wouldn't mind going myself to check the place out as my U14s squad are thinking of touring in Exeter next year and we need some opposition... Can't make it myself as I will be at Silverstone, but will donate when the details of how are posted

some fundraisers knocked on our door seeking donations toward the construction of a new indoor pool for local disadvantaged youngsters,....... mrs mad4 looked a bit sideways when i gave them a bucket of water !!! :tumbleweed:

Thought I'd give this a little bump.

Should be a realy good day, loads of prizes up for grabs in the raffle & loads of great cars to walk & talk around. Check out the link and lets see a few more South West Z4's on show. :)
