Charging phone stops Aux

Hi

Back in an e85 with DSP.

Noticed a problem I recall having with previous beemers.

Aux works fine via USB c convertor.

Plug in power using BMW cigarette lighter and the Aux stops.

Any ideas?

Not just you - I have this issue too, both with an old ipod nano with separate power and audio jacks, (happy when one or the other leads are plugged in, but never both at the same time) and with my iphone with the dongle that splits the lightening connector into power and audio.

Had the same issue in my old 645ci a few years ago too; I think it's an inherent thing rather than something faulty.
