I have a spare set of 107's and seriously toying with the idea of changing the colour on them to give another look to the car (still keen to leave the same BMW center caps on)

Current Colour

You guys have any thoughts (postives ones 8) or any other colours that might work - Rich

Smoked chrome looks awesome on sterling grey as at some angles if looks chrome, others it almost matched the body colour.

worth a 15 min drive to see my wheel refurbishing buddy in Lichfield as he's got a rack load of options to look at.

Cheers phil

I've been quoted £60 per wheel at the place in erdington/tybern road

If your guys the same sort of money please pass me his details as I'm only down the road

Thanks

Here's a couple of shots to show how different light changes the effect and on a sterling grey:

In sunlight almost chrome:

In shade body coded colour:

The white is a joke right?? :?

Not a fan of 107's, but the best one's I've seen so far are daveg's.

I would have said smoked Chrome if CJ didnt beat me to it.

But i do rather like dreamers pic - maybe smoked chrome on the spokes, and standard colour on the edges?

+1 for smoked chrome. Best match to the colour of your car. I'm quite tempted to try that look on my spare 108's

Drreamers pic is a good way to do this. I'd go smoked chrome on the inners and oem silver the rest. Just a decision of how you put the cut lines in  Airbrush fade ot hard lines.

Am I alone in thinking a darker-coloured car looks best with some contrast to the colour of the alloys? i.e. silver wheels on a darker/grey car?

Saying that, since you've got a spare set and are looking to do something different, I'd vote for a shadow chrome effect. Certainly the best alternative to silver posted so far IMO.

I'm watching this thread with interest. I've been considering the smoked chrome finish for my scabby 107's for some time, but I've not been brave enough to do it without seeing an example first.
Ranski, where are you getting them done?

Erdington, Birmingham, http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk but they do appear to be a chain across the UK

Paid £220

PS I wouldnt have done this unless i had the spare set
