Changing Stereo head unit on 2003 model.

Hi guys. Just bought a 2003 Z4 2.5 and I really want to change the head unit. I have a JVC head unit which is DAB and want to fit it asap. A friend of mine has a Z3 and he has said that changing the head unit can cause problems. Looking on ebay for a connecting cable, The site mentioned that sometimes plugging a cable into the loom can cause instrument panel issues and worse! Clearly I do NOT want this. Anyone changed their head unit????? Cheers.

Not aware of this having caused anybody an issue in the past.

All I would say is keep the factory unit for when you come to sell.
