Changing Rear Brake Pads

Has anyone changed their own rear brake pads on 35 or 35is with DCT and parking brake?
I have always changed my own pads but I'm not familiar with this system. Took the rear wheel off tonight for a better look but not sure it is going to be as straight forward as fronts.

Any advice is welcome. I change my pads often and can't justify paying a dealer to do it every time.

It's dealer only unless you can get the tool that manually winds in the electric parking brake. There's some sort of caveat that means its BMW centric to change these..

Somebody must have changed their own rear pads and have some advice. It's not like I'm wanting to do anything complicated. The E89 has been around a while now.
Fronts are an easy 30 minute job but the rears have the electronic handbrake so I don't want to just pull them out and cause complications.

I'm just waiting for my one year warranty to run out in June before i start fiddling with my rear brakes. If i can't do it the complicated way might have to invest in the Autel tool. Can be had for half that price if you want to take a chance on it being supplied from China or Hong Kong.
I'm thinking along the lines releasing the brake, disconnect battery, then find a mechanical way to back off the pads by removing the motor/gearbox unit and backing off manually as would be done if the unit failed 'on the road'. Then on replacement the unit would settle back to the normal position on resetting.

I have removed front and rear sensors, and cable tied them out of harms way so I don't have to reset the warning lights. I go through a lot of pads and will check them the old fashioned way with my eyes. Easy to see anyway with my wheels.
