Never happen's mate ,
I made the 520d mistake a few years back , 07 sport spec tourer LCI , pretty lame performance & matching economy , couldn't burst 43mpg on a 500 miles euro jaunt , most of the time it sat around 29 /33mpg :x same as our 330d only there is life inside that![]()

My M3 seems to enjoy bouncing off the 8400rpm limiterTitanTim said:I wouldn't like to rev any car to 6k all the while, be knackered before its time.

I am hoping it stands the test of time all being well. When all said & done that's what they are built to do provided you warm them up before opening the taps & stick to the service schedule.Marky Mark said:Napastar said:Maniac attention to detail is spot re my error in the model classifications however I think the qualified opinions I was trying to get across were accurate.
Thrashing to 20i is rarely necessary and if economy is important the 20i or 28i are pretty good - currently mine is returning 38 mpg compared to 43mpg from the 330d on the same daily journey.
Just wondering which car is returning 38 mpg 20i or 28i ?
Cheers...![]()

Have you not tried one yet ?BeemerMad said:Good job, i was getting worried looking into 3.0 Zs. thought i might as well look at some 330 diesel cabs if there just as quick with better MPG lol
