Changing Disks and Pads all round

So £160 quid for front and rear disks and pads off euro car parts, after the hot30 discount.

All Pagid.
Will be changing myself.
Current pads don't contact across the whole disk (my thoughts are someone bought the wrong pads).

Any reason why I shouldn't? Or hints and tips. Done it on my focus before without a hitch.
Should I be painting my calipers while I'm at it? :)
 
Cant answer your question, but I do not see why this should cause a problem, you are only increasing the contact area...

I am impressed with the price, what is this hot30 discount and is it for a limited time only? if so I may have to get some.

If I were you I would try painting them whilst you have got them off
 
same ones I got and put them on myself... for the small extra money, maybe get the rear pad sensor... mine snapped off without much pressure... not sure if this is common or not...

and yes, while you're in there, get the calipers painted up, rude not too....
 
speed12. eurocar parts get discount codes pretty much all year round. They change it frequently, but its always there :P just type in hot30 as a promo code at checkout.

cueball, snapped when removing? easy to replace them? any recommendations on caliper paint? :D
 
yeah, the sensor was stuck in the pad... it snapped.... an extra 10 minutes to change over once I figured out all the cable route!

it's pretty easy to do... if you can change the brake, you can do it fine.

I used good old hammerite paint on mine.
