Changed to a 2.5 Zed

Thanks for that :) .. Everyone has there personal preference with cleaning products. Top work.
 
So many products and not enough to use them all.

Drove through a few country roads yesterday, one of those famous short cuts. When we finally surfaced back to main roads the car was covered in mud that when dried had actually beaded. So as we're taking a trip down to Cornwall later in the week I gave the car another serious once over.

A few updates, tonight I've ordered LED Philips sidelight bulbs (£18), LED fog lights (£48), 5000k HID's (£85) (driving around the Cornish B roads I noticed just how poor the light output is) and the owners manual (£39) and other books as mine didn't come with one. Probably never use it but it helps.

I noticed it tramlines a lot on the motorway and twitches so going to book it in for a wheel alignment. Both front tyres are the same make, falkens. The rear has a falken and a brand new pile of budget crap called Sunny
 
Fitted my LED fog light and HID 5000k bulb this afternoon. You can see a massive improvement on the standard bulbs. Need to fit the other side and side lights on the weekend (not a daily driver so doesn't matter). I do however need to drill a hole in the light cover so the ballast can sit outside light.

Decided while getting my headlight beam alignment done I would get the garage to check the wheel alignment because of the tramlining and General twitchy ride. The camber and tow were all red. Now theyre all in the green it handles as it should, no tramlining and a smooth strong ride. Bonus was they didn't charge me for the beam alignment
 
The standard lights are very poor, I was shocked by how poor they were when I first drove my zed in the dark.

The alignment sorted makes a massive differnance :driving: ... Enjoy 8)
 
Haven't posted an update recently since moving house.

So in the past few months I have painted the callipers, smartened up the hubs as well.



Sprayed the bolts too as they were rusting





The previous owner change the aerial to a stubby metal one.....cheap may I add as it has changed colour in the sun so decided to mask up, create my own little spray booth and give it a coat of satin black







Sealed the roof too
 
Started to correct the paintwork and test out a few sealants before choosing one to use

Left hand side has been correct and sealed



Bought a set of new alloys for the winter, only a short trip


Excuse the flat tyre, the rubber will be changed come the winter.
 
Hello - I've just bought a z4 just like yours a 2.5i, how are you finding the power? I presume yours is a 177? It's exactly same colour & wheels as yours hope I can get some beading like yours!

Previously to this I had a 225 TT, be it a much heavier car it needed that extra power. Honestly yes it could do with more power but for what it is and the fact I obviously don't go any faster than 77mph I don't mind.

Still makes a good noise.

Sterling silver is by far the best colour.

What products are you using?

The 2.5i is 192 the 2.5si is 218hp

No, the facelift 2.5i is 177bhp & the Si is 218bhp.
