Changed my 35i spark plugs today

Well, I am coming up to 30k on the old mileometer so decided to replace my spark plugs.

I went with Bosch (ZR5TPP33) as recommended by 'N54 tuners', they are one step cooler than OEM and recommended for cars with outputs over stock.
When I removed the current plugs I discovered the first owner had fitted Bosch R6 Multiground plugs, completely wrong for the N54!
All plugs looked ok with number 6 a tiny bit darker.

I also discovered my coils are all Bosch apart from cylinders 3 & 4 which are delphi!

What are your thoughts on mixing coil pack maufacturers??

Car goes a lot better now, smoother by far, all 6 plugs for £44

Those ZR5TPP33 are the OE plugs for the N55 engine. A lot of people move to the NGK 95770 (renamed NGK 5992 plug), I've heard the N55 plugs work OK but never seen anyone post detailing feedback or do any testing.

There's no problem mixing coils, but the Bosch ones are probably original. Mine started failing one by one at 60k so i just replaced all 6 to save the hassle.

Yes you are right about the plugs, I take most of my advice from N54 Tuners, they state the NGK (ILZKBR7B-8G / 97968) is a good alternative but the Bosch plug runs better in the N54 in their experience, and they are about half the price of NGK!!
Looking at real oem it lists the coils as delphi!!!!!!

Depends on the build year of the car 2009 cars came with Bosch, they switched to Delphi at some point after. The coils have the manufacture date stamped on them so you can check.

Where did you buy the plugs from? that's a good deal.
