Change to Private Plates

I have recently changed my MR onto a private plate.

I sent the documentation off including V5 and original/current MOT certificate

I have received the new registration but also got back the original MOT certificate which shows the original registration number.

I assume that this is an error and I should have an MOT certificate showing the private registration number?

Not any more...Sent DVLA a query regarding the very same subject. They sent me a note stating You now KEEP the original certificate & it's changed by the garage next MOT :|

Still get them, but from 09/05/2015 they no longer issue a duplicate MOT Certificate with a cherished transfer.

Now cheaper to retain a cherished number, reduced from £105 to £80
