Hi, if you're going to criticize as soon as you join at least get your spelling right, a witch is something which travels around on a broomstick casting spells & aspersions :oops:

Telling folk it's a cartoon and a joke and amateurish. Wasn't a discussion now was it .
Someone put some real effort into it the way it looks .

Im no marketing expert but a logo is presumably supposed to be distinctive and instantly recognisable to a particular brand, the Forum in this case, it's not a 'professional' organisation and I don't think it needs to be "serious". BMW has, traditionally got a bit of an 'up-itself' image out there so it's just my opinion but I'd say the logo does it's job and is a bit of fun so wouldn't swap it about.

I think it reflects the forum 'flavour' quite well, there's a lot of banter and humour (for the most part). It's a non-specific representation of a Z4, so no arguments can be had about what should have been the masthead pic (ie, what would be the 'ideal' Z4 as a masthead? There are way too many choices)
However, no harm in discussing changes, if enough were in favour maybe it should change.
But there's no need to disparage the current one; try to make a reasoned case for change, and members might react more positively.

That sums it up. Was designed for the forum and been there several years. Been discussed at length and consensus it it's suitable.

OP your points are valid, but if you dive into a forum, ask advice in one thread and then criticise the logo, with no introduction of yourself, car, location, etc. then some of the guys will give you a rough time.

Welcome to the forum :poke: We did have a more 'serious' forum banner years ago with a roadster and a coupe on it. There was much debate around the change to our current set up and I wasn't keen on it at first (guess I don't like change lol) but it is instantly recognisable and bright. The mods on here spend a lot of their time running this site and to berate them in your opening post is a bit rude IMHO.
 
Some just have a distinct lack of tact which unfortunately can and does get them into trouble. Personally I know I've arrived when I see the logo and it has never bothered me in the slightest. As for ginger lights don't get me going! :P
