Those seats look offset on the runners, will they still fit?

Yeah I was worried about that but it's in the right place. The BMW seats are the same...

I had to offset mine too when I made the brackets for mine

I'm glad I went with the fixed bucket seat first cos they look brilliant and I'd of always wondered what they were like in the car, BUT they are a bit of a ball ache to live with on a daily basis! I'm quite a tall fella so a) sitting so close to the ground and b) with the side wall of the seat stopping you fro getting out, you end up clambering out of the car each time! It's not too bad passengers not used to it get a dead bum as they fall into the bucket seat and hit the side wall, then struggle to get out when arrival at destination! :D these seats are definitely form over function!
I am bidding on a set of reclining seats, similar to the ones you posted at the start of the thread. Still with plenty of support and padded to the nines just without the side bar and with the luxury of adjustable back angle!

Pretty pleased with my results so far. Seats only cost me £140 so were a bargain. Seem to give loads of support also :) :)

They look great mate!
How did you get the heating pads out and insert them in the new ones?

Cut them out of the old seats and just laid them on the foam and taped in place to stop them moving. Found if you hold them over a lamp you can see the heater element woven into the mat, this way you can cut holes out for the leather fixings.

was looking a Porsche seats first of all, seems they go pretty cheap on eBay

My plan for the seats is to take the leather off. And cut the bolsters off build them up with some foam. And then get my mother in law to re trim the leather seats. Have you got any more pictures of taking the seats apart?

Once I started pulling them apart I got carried away so didn't take any pics lol

I've got all the old parts laying around thou so can take some pics of that if you want them.???

The only reason I didn't go for the Porsche was a set of the Honda seats came up and they were already red and the guy lived just over an hour away. Phoned him up and got him to give me all the dimensions. Went to my car and it was pretty much spot on. So phoned him back and done a deal :D :D :D

All the Porsche seats seem to be black, would of happily brought some thou if the sizes are right. And it sounds cooler that your seats are from a Porsche and not a Honda lol

Worked out pretty good then! Had a look at the Porsche seats and the description "collection only because they are really heavy" put me off!!!
Just bought these...! Picking them up this evening :D

Mounted on the bmw frame and heat pads in place. Need to go over the leather and sort out the wear areas and straight out of the crinkles.!!!!

So far so good thou :D :D

 Just had a good look again at those pictures plymouth! heart in your mouth moment cutting into them at first i can imagine!!
So have you used the runners etc from the standard seat? Are the runners electric still too or manual?

Very nice. Can I have them lol

The worse part for me was taking a cutting disc to the seat frame. In the back of my mind I knew I could get it welded back up thou. I removed the leather properly on the first seat. Once I had it removed I realised you had to wreck it anyway to get the heater pad out. So the next seat I just cut the area I needed

Seats are mounted on the BMW frame so line up perfect and fully electric just like the original
