Change in offset...what's the limit?

I was wondering how far can I go with the offset and width of the rims, without getting any rubbing and/or damaging the fenders.

I am currently rolling on standard OEM 16" wheels 7j ET47 and I am in the market for some 18" 269s or 313s. The dealer has some 18" 259 wheels for the Zed but besides the width being slightly greater, the offset is the same - 47 for the fronts and 50 for the rears. It would be a shame to get the same offset from 18" wheels...should I go with spacers?

I read on some forum you can use the E90/92 offset without any problems, but I am inclined to get a second oppinion here...I trust this forum more than any other

Had 18x8 et10 on the rear et 15 - front, that's included spacers, no rubbing and my car is lowered

what exactly you wan to hear ? you need to find what size your wheels will be 18x8 ,18x8,5 18x9 etc. than you can calculate the right offset

The offset on a set of E89 rims is more than your E85, so consider this as an alternative of not using spacers to fill your arches.

Posted this a couple of times before - my E85 running on its E89 17" winters

I finally set my mind on the 313 Performance wheels, 18" 7,5J ET49 in the front and 8,5J ET52 for the rear.

...I will be needing spacers after all, since these wheels have lesser offset that the 16" i currently have... :))

Time to change your signature then? :)

believe you'll also need to remember to purchase longer wheel bolts to accommodate the spacers

yeah, that too :)

I got an incredible offer from a dealer in holland - 1700EUR for the 18" 313s...I am going to use that offer to see if my local dealer can match it...hoping to save the freight expenses :)
