got a facelift 06 z4 here, looking to change the light bulb, and brin it round to few places and some said is gave little room to mess about and some said is required the whole bumper off, so is coukdn;t get done...
is there a easy way to do it/

Hi gho888

Do a search for headlight and you'll find some easy to follow instructions. The access is from the wheel arch, you just need to turn the wheels to the side.

Good luck, and remember don't touch the glass on the new bulb.

I still found it really hard to change the bulbs even with wheels on full lock. Was going to remove my wheels to change them, but my trolley lock won't fit under the Z4!! Too god damn low.

Drive the zed onto a couple of pieces of 2" thick timber and that will give room to jack it up.

I can't see the problem with access though. Once the steering is turned there is ample room to open the cover panel then unclip the rear of the light unit. That takes a bit of a wiggle to get it out and then back on. Bulbs are easy from there? Indicators a litle pain as you have to twist them 90 degrees and retract the holder unit.

as CJ said with the car on full lock there is plenty of room, just make sure your are using the right access hole, not the one for the Fog lights.

Maybe you turned the wheel the wrong direction? For left light make a left turn. I just did this last night so I could access the angel eye bulb to see what kind it is. I'm making a high powered LED to replace the stock dim 10 watt bulb. This is for 2007 US spec. xenon lights. Keep on the lookout for my hopefully new brighter angel eyes post

I changed them today but I still don't find it easty, wheels were changed the right way but accessing the high beam is a pain, you have to do it blind basically as I can't physically fit my arm through and be able to see what I was doing. Tellin if the bulb was sited properly was time consuming to say the least. But they're changed now, lets hope they'll don't blow again too quickly.
